HISTORY
An over 8 decades old steel group in India started steel
manufacturing plant in Nigeria (Ife) in the year 2011 AS Ife Iron and Steel
Nigeria Limited.
After successful running they decided to diversify in brown
paper manufacturing which is mostly used for making carton boxes/ envelopes
etc.
Accordingly a joint techno commercial venture between Rathi
Steel (India) & Bhageria’s (who have made their preferred choice of stay in
Nigeria for last 2 decades) given birth to the brown paper mill M/S Speciality
Pulp and paper Limited (SPPL).
COMPANY PROFILE
Speciality Pulp and Paper Limited (SPPL) is one of the
recycled brown paper mill situated in Ikorodu/ Ijebu – Ode road , Ogun State ,
Nigeria and operating in ECOWAS region and producing mainly Test Liner, Fluting
and White Top Test Liner used for making the corrugating boxes for packaging
purpose . The plant has been established at an installed capability of 75000
TPA and is operational since Jan 2017. The major machineries / Equipment’s are
mostly from India.
SPECIALITY PULP AND PAPER LIMITED (SPPL)
SPPL incorporated on 23rd October 2013 in Nigeria
situated on Ijebu – Ode/Ikorodu Road, Enigbon Village ( Near Ibefun ) , Ogun
state .
SPPL Gestation period of 20 months – From clearance to completion!
The factory is established in 35 acre of land which has been
purchased outright by the company.
The company ( SPPL ) is recycling mostly brown paper scrap / other paper scrap to
produce the brown paper reels
Visionary planning of setting up a state of the art
plant capacity of 50,000 TPA with 50 %
up scaling capacity to reach 75000 TPA capacity without gestation period
Trial production started in Nov ‘2016 and commercial
production started in the month of Jan ‘2017 .
Operating successfully at nearly full capacity for the last 3
years.
Producing Test Liner and Fluting grade of brown paper which
is mostly used for making carton boxes and envelopes. The lower gsm’s are mostly
used for envelope making.
Mr Atanu Datta is the overall in charge of the plant as GCOO
(Group Chief Operating Officer). And Mr Anuj Garg is the supervising financial
function of the company.
